By now you will have had a chance to look at your child's work in their portfolio. All of the students worked very hard to complete their work to a high standard and are very proud of it. Well done Room 7!
When you have finished looking at it, could you please return the portfolio to school, thank you.
On Tuesday we were able to present our Pohutukawa Problem Solvers outcome to the school and to the many parents who were able to come along.
We talked about our inquiry process and how we created a list of instructions for the PPS to use in the playground when dealing with conflict.
Here is our list:
1. Talk to both people.
2. Ask what happened.
3. Listen to both people tell their side.
4. Get both people to look in each others' eyes and say how they felt when it happened.
5. Get them both to say sorry, or, one says apology accepted.
6. Get them to shake hands.
We had to fill out an application form to become a PPS and then Ms H had to choose two people to be our first ones.
These people were announced at the presentation and received a certificate and their PPS lanyard with the instructions inside.
Sita and Noah were chosen! Congratulations!
We practiced and practiced!
It was worth it! What a great presentation!
This week we also got to view the Te Manawa World War 1 Timeline. It was amazing! It showed important events for World War 1.
We really liked the crosses that showed people who had lived in Mt Wellington who were killed during the war. We didn't know it was so many people. Thank you Te Manawa!
This is the last blog for Term 1 and we are very pleased to share all our work with you! Have a great two weeks break and we will be back to do it all again in Term 2!
