Room 6 Week 10 Term 2 2013

Hi Everyone, welcome to our last week for Term 2 2013.

We are very lucky to have been working with Mr Lewis Thorogood, who has come from Auckland University to do his last practicum in Room 6.

We have  been learning how to write a procedure.

This week we wrote about how to make pikelets.

We also helped to make them and EAT THEM! YUM!

First Mr T showed us what we need.

Then we helped to make them.

Next, we took turns to put a spoonful on the hot plate. We were very careful because it was hot!

We waited for the bubbles to come to the surface.

We took turns to turn them over.

Next we got to choose jam or nutella to go on our pikelet.

Then we ate them, yum, yum, yum!

Even Mr T and Mrs H had one!

We thought they were delicious!
THANK YOU Mr T!

Room 6 Week 9 Term 2 2013

Kia ora whanau!

This week has seen a lot of great work and learning happening in Room 6.

To start the week, some students were able to take part in the Scoot Skills Day. They got to ride on a scooter and show their skills.

Later in the week we looked at how we could share our water saving ideas with the whole school.
Here is what we decided to do.

We are very pleased with our work and how it gives our messages about saving water.

And the best thing is that Everybody loves them!

Have a great weekend and remember to save water!

Room 6 week 8 Term 2 2013

Hello everyone! This week we have been learning about how much water we use at home and at school.

We were very surprised at how much it is!
Here is a list:

Then we looked at our own personal use. We made a list to show it.

We are very lucky this week to have our student teacher Mr Lewis Thorogood back in our class. He will be with us for seven weeks.
Welcome back Mr T!
